Judge Jessica Goodey Stands For

  • As a judge and attorney, I believe that a deep understanding of civil law is essential for this department. I am dedicated to bringing my years of civil experience to the bench to ensure that every case is handled with the precision and expertise it requires. Having a judge who understands the complexities of the civil realm is vital to maintaining a court system that is fair and prepared from day one.

  • True justice involves addressing the root causes of why people enter the courtroom. By expanding diversion programs—like the Eviction Diversion Program—we can reach amicable resolutions that keep seniors in their homes and ensure property owners are made whole. These programs stabilize our neighborhoods, reduce recidivism, and transform lives by focusing on recovery and productivity.

  • I am committed to a court system that respects your time and taxpayer resources. From revising the statewide Justice Court Rules of Civil Procedure to co-creating the first New Judges Training Academy, I have worked to make our courts more efficient, transparent, and accessible. I believe in a bench that leads by example, ensuring that our legal system is modernized to serve every citizen effectively.
